Rosh Hashana Looks

I had four goals for this year's Rosh Hashana looks: 1. Create four unique outfits 2. Mix and match as much as possible to fascilitate packing light. 3. Get one last wear out of my pretty summer dresses. 4. Work around the fact that clothes were limited because I didn't have time to do laundry last week.

I took these goals as challenges and turned my limitations into opportunities for creativity. Even thought I ended up using almost the same accessories throughout and stuck with mostly the same color palette, I still ended up with four unique looks.

Look One: First Night

The first night of Rosh Hashana is probably going to be the biggest meal this Yom Tov for me, so I'm starting strong with my favourite of the four looks. This look features my new necklace creation, the Pearl Collar Necklace (tutorial here) and big bows on my head and on my toes. It also includes lots of white, because I'm not ready to give up my summer clothes just yet.

Look Two: First Day

I'm feeling pearls this holiday season, so this look features the same pearls at look one, but I simply double wrapped them around my neck. I love this sweet style to wear for shul to daven for a sweet new year. This looks puts me in the mind of holiness, goodness and purity -- just the right thoughts for Rosh Hashana davening.

Look Three: Second Night

A dress with this much pattern and texture doesn't need a lot of help to make a statement. A short string of pearls, a pair of nude heels and a freshly set sheitel are all it needs to be Yom Tov ready! It's hard for me to go minimal with accessories, especially when I get dressed up, but with a dress like this, less is definitely more!

Look Four: Second Day

I love the pretty color and pattern of this maxi dress, but the silhouette is a little plain and it was just begging for a pop of color! Adding this cute cardi gives it some much needed shape and color. I also doubled up on subtle necklaces, because the look doesn't demand a ton of exciting accessories, but I wanted to add something fun around my neck. Bonus: the long maxi will be super comfy for lounging around on Tuesday afternoon for the last stretch of Yom Tov!
